Bramus Van Damme is a web developer from Belgium. From the moment he discovered view-source at the age of 14 (way back in 1997), he fell in love with the web and has been tinkering with it ever since. With his company 3RDS he works as a freelance developer, tackling both the frontend (HTML, CSS, JS) and the backend (PHP, MySQL). His current focus is on JavaScript, React and React Native yet his love for CSS will never fade. Gareth is a security researcher and probably best known for his work escaping JavaScript sandboxes, and creating super-elegant cross-site scripting (XSS) vectors. Heydon Pickering has worked with The Paciello Group, The BBC, Smashing Magazine, and Bulb Energy as a designer, engineer, writer, editor, and illustrator. He was shortlisted for Designer Of The Year in The Net Awards. Heydon previously wrote Inclusive Design Patterns which sold over 10,000 copies. Proceeds from this title were donated to the ACLU and The Democratic Socialists Of America, to help these organizations fight fascism and create a more inclusive society.

Hidde is a front-end web developer who prioritises what users see and interact with. To him, accessibility and performance are essential aspects of building front-ends.

Chen Hui Jing is a self-taught designer and developer living in Singapore, with an inordinate love for CSS, as evidenced by her blog, that is mostly about CSS, and her tweets, which are largely about typography and the web. She used to play basketball full-time and launched her web career during downtime between training sessions. Hui Jing is currently focusing on growing developer engagement around the APAC region.

Léonie is Director of TetraLogical; a member of the W3C Advisory Board; co-Chair of the W3C Web Applications Working Group; and a member of the BIMA Inclusive Design Council. Amongst other things, Léonie is co-organiser of the Inclusive Design 24 (#id24) conference; co-author of the Inclusive Design Principles; and mentor to young people interested in the fields of accessibility and inclusive design. Lisi is a frontend engineer with a M.Sc. degree in Computer Science. Additional to her background in media technology & design, she has a passion for creating better experiences for anyone using the web. Miriam is an author, artist, and UX engineer. She’s spent nearly 20 years learning, teaching, collaborating, and building web software as a co-founder of OddBird; Invited Expert with the W3C CSS Working Group; staff writer for CSS Tricks; and member of the Sass core team.

Nils moves between two worlds — continuously striving to improve the communication between designers and developers. Starting as a so-called web-designer in 1999, he now calls himself "frontend designer." He worked for a wide variety of clients, from startups to global players. Also, he is an origami enthusiast spending hours folding paper.

As a web platform expert and author Peter Kröner explores the future of web standards. His findings on HTML, CSS, and new JavaScript standards are shared through books, blog posts, his podcast "Working Draft", but also in seminars, workshops, and lectures. In his former life, Peter worked as a freelance web designer and front-end developer.

Rachel Andrew works for Google as a technical writer, and content lead for Chrome Web DevRel working on web.dev and the Chrome Developers site. Scott Kellum is the founder of Typetura, a typography as a service company offering both bespoke and ready-made typographic solutions. With over 15 years of design experience across type, editorial, digital, and print design; Scott’s experience gives him a unique perspective on the typographic challenges and opportunities in the design industry. He has invented multiple web technologies, holds two patents, and has contributed to major projects at Vox Media, Darden Studio, and Roger Black Studio. These accomplishments include inventing dynamic typographic systems, high impact ad formats, new parallax techniques, and the fluid typesetting technology that powers Typetura itself.

Stephanie Eckles is a front-end focused SWE at Microsoft. She's also the author of http://ModernCSS.dev which provides modern solutions to old CSS problems as in-depth tutorials, and is the creator of http://StyleStage.dev, and author of http://SmolCSS.dev and http://11ty.Rocks. Steph has over 13 years of webdev experience that she enjoys sharing as an author, egghead instructor, and conference speaker. Her most recent working experience has largely involved leading and co-creating enterprise design systems. She's an advocate for accessibility, scalable CSS, and the Jamstack (especially Eleventy). Offline, she's mom to two girls and a cowboy corgi, and enjoys baking.

Trys is a design engineer who works at Motorway in the UK. He loves CSS, side projects, and getting designers and engineers to work well together. Previously, he worked at the Brighton-based UX agency, Clearleft, where he co-created Utopia, an approach to fluid responsive design.
